About

Learning to grow. Learning to serve. Learning to live. Learning for life. For more than 143,800 Arkansas youth, 4-H is a path filled with fun, new skills, accomplishments and lifelong friendships that flows into a confident future - all backed by research and directed by the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. Find out why 6 million youth nationwide "learn by doing" the 4-H way. Learn more

The 4-H Shooting Sports Program combines the best of youth development and volunteer programs, while keeping a relationship with the existing natural resources, safety, and outdoor recreation programs. The materials and training programs emphasize young people and their life skills, while using tested techniques and positive reinforcement. Strong and continuing recruitment of volunteers, and attractiveness to 4-H age youth, males and females, older teens, and families have been and continue to be key elements in the Arkansas 4-H Shooting Sports Programs.

The Arkansas 4-H Shooting Sports Program is an educational activity of Arkansas 4-H, the youth development program of the Division of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas. This program has the potential of reaching new youth audiences and new volunteer adult leaders who have not participated in other 4-H programs.
